More than a dozen rifles, pickup truck stolen during break-in

Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers is putting out a call to the public for tips after someone ransacked a residence in the Dresden area and took off with 15 long guns.

CK Crime Stoppers said the break-in took place in the former Camden Township -- which stretches from Dresden to Thamesville -- was reported to police on Saturday, September 14.

Officers said after the break-in, a 2011 Chevy Silverado was also reported stolen. It was last seen with the Ontario license plate BY39999.

Police said whoever broke in took off with the guns along with a television, jewelry, food, and liquor.

The total value of the theft is estimated at over $37,000.

Crime Stoppers is seeking information that can identify the person or persons responsible for the break-in and theft.
