Mischief and Assault
A 35-year-old woman has been charged with assault after allegedly pushing over a 63-year-old woman.
At around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Chatham-Kent (CK) police were called to a home on Wellington Street West in Chatham.
According to police, a woman was seen breaking several items on the property. When another woman confronted her, she reportedly pushed her over.
Police arrested the suspect, charging them with assault and mischief under $5,000.
Assault with a Weapon
CK police have charged a 21-year-old man for allegedly trying to assault someone with a weapon.
Just before 1 a.m. on Wednesday, officers were called to a home on McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham.
It's alleged that two men got into an argument when one picked up a weapon and attempted to hit the other. Police did not specify what the weapon was.
Police arrested the one man, charging him with assault with a weapon and possession of a Weapon for a dangerous purpose.
