A former bank in Dresden is set to receive a big makeover.
Dresden Sidestreets Youth Centre has reached an agreement with TD to purchase its building on St. George Street South and turn it into its new Community Hub.
“This space gives us the opportunity to expand youth programming while also creating a place where the entire community can come together. We see this as an investment not just in youth, but in the future of Dresden," said Lori Ouellette, Board Chair of the Dresden Sidestreets Youth Centre.
The non-profit has been operating since 2000, and is currently located on Main Street. The plan is to sell the current building and use the funds to buy the former TD Bank.
Dresden Sidestreets Youth Centre expects to start transforming the bank into the Community Hub sometime over the next couple of months. It didn't provide a timeline on when it should be open.
