Residents in Huron County will have two opportunities next month to learn how to protect themselves from fraud.
The Huron OPP’s Craig Soldan will lead Scam Awareness seminars focusing on common scams, protecting personal information, and what to do if you’ve been targeted.
Sessions take place at the Brussels Library on Wednesday, November 26 and at the Wingham Columbus Centre on Thursday, December 4, both running from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Organizers say scammers often take advantage of the holiday season through fake charities, online shopping fraud, phishing emails, and "grandparent" scams.
Seating is limited, and attendees are asked to RSVP by calling 519-887-2662.
