Goderich Catch the Ace winner takes home over $830,000

A local lucky winner is taking home more than $830,000 following the conclusion of the ninth Goderich Catch the Ace draw.

Ticket holder Justin Smith snagged the week 50 jackpot, uncovering the Ace of Spades in envelope number 38. Smith collected the $50,387 weekly prize alongside a progressive jackpot of $780,069.

Organizers said the 50-week raffle generated over $2.6 million in total ticket sales.

More than $1.3 million, minus expenses, will be reinvested directly back into the local community through the Goderich Knights of Columbus, the Goderich Legion, and the Goderich Kinsmen Club.
