Hanover announces new Deputy Fire Chief

The Town of Hanover has announced its new Deputy Fire Chief.

A media release from the town shares that Matt Marshall will be assuming the role as of November 23. He joined the Hanover Fire Department back in 2012 and has served in various roles since then, including most recently as captain.

During his career, Deputy Chief Marshall has earned certifications in fire operations, pump operations and specialized technical rescue disciplines. Those include surface water rescue, swiftwater rescue, ice rescue and auto extrication.

The Town of Hanover says this appointment represents an important step in the continued development of the Hanover Fire Department's leadership team. It demonstrates the department's commitment to developing the experience and capabilities of its members.

"Promoting from within is particularly meaningful to our organization. It recognizes the commitment and experience our members bring to the department and the community over many years. Deputy Chief Marshall understands our department, our members, and the community we serve. His experience and leadership provide a strong foundation as he takes on this new role," said Fire Chief Jeff Dentinger.
