Sarnia woman acting erratically charged with impaired driving

A Sarnia woman was arrested for impaired driving after residents saw her behaving erratically.

On Saturday, June 14 at 7:55 p.m. city police were called for reports of a possible impaired driver.

Residents saw a woman out of her vehicle in the middle of Russell Street behaving erratically and they attempted to move her vehicle for her.

Police said the saw the 38-year-old woman displaying signs of intoxication and when she attempted to re-enter her vehicle she was arrested.

The woman was allegedly more than twice over the legal limit.

She was released for a future court date and her vehicle was impounded for seven days and her licence has been suspended for 90.
