Strangway Centre offering wide range of summer programming

Summer is fast approaching and the City of Sarnia is encouraging residents to be active and social by signing up for recreation programs at the Strangway Community Centre.

The full lineup was released Tuesday ahead of the opening of registration June 16 at 9 a.m.

The summer season runs from June 29 to September 25 with holiday closures on July 1, August 3, and September 7.

Activities Programmer Mike Neely said the outdoor sports programs that began in the spring are continuing into the summer season, so remaining spaces are limited.

“With summer just around the corner, we are excited to get programming underway. Whether you’re looking to increase your fitness, explore arts and culture, enjoy outdoor sports, or engage in social activities, there’s something for everyone,” said Neely.

The lineup features things like pickleball lessons, walking soccer, dancercise, French and tech literacy.

More information will be posted to the City of Sarnia's website or by calling 519-332-0656.

Residents can also stop by the Strangway Community Centre, at 260 East Street North, for a printed copy of the recreation guide.
