Sarnia police seek public’s help identifying attempted carjacking suspects (VIDEO)

Two suspects are wanted in an attempted carjacking in central Sarnia.

Just after 12 a.m. Tuesday, a person seated in their vehicle in a driveway on Maria Street spotted two unknown men wearing baggy clothing walking behind the vehicle.

It's alleged they approached the car and pointed what were believed to be pellet guns at the victim, demanding their car keys.

While putting the vehicle in reverse to get away, a loud pop was heard and the driver's side window shattered.

Police said the two suspects then took off on foot toward the intersection of Maria and Mitton Street.

They're both described as white, slim, and wearing dark baggy clothing. Police said one also had an orange bandana.

Responding officers conducted a search of the area and were unable to locate the suspects.

A video of the incident is posted on the Sarnia Police Service's YouTube page.
