Enbridge Gas wants your feedback on a new natural gas pipeline being considered as part of the Dawn Parkway System Renewal Project.
The proposed project would involve the removal of nearly 17 kilometres of pipeline between the existing Enbridge Gas Dawn Natural Gas Storage and Transportation Facility (the Dawn Hub) located at Bentpath Line and Dawn Valley Road in the Township of Dawn-Euphemia, and the existing Enbridge Gas Enniskillen Station located north of Oil Springs Line on Oakdale Road in the Township of Enniskillen.
The current 26-inch pipeline would be replaced in the existing easement with a 48-inch pipeline; although new permanent easement may be required.
Enbridge said the replacement will help maintain capacity, safety, and reliability.
Public consultations are underway as part of the Environmental Study process and feedback is being sought from Indigenous communities, landowners, government agencies, and other interested persons.
An in person information session is being held on Thursday, August 27 at the Oil Springs Youth Centre from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Virtual sessions are also being offered until August 31.
Enbridge asks that input and comments be made by September 15, 2026.
The company anticipates an environmental report will be completed in the first quarter of 2027, followed by a regulatory review by the Ontario Energy Board.
If approved, construction is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2028.
