The Windsor Essex County Association of Realtors says market activity in May grew by almost ten per cent, but sales dipped 1.01 per cent.
Last month, realtors put 1,378 properties on the market, an increase of 9.89 per cent from May 2024. So far this year, listings are up 15.72 per cent.
There were 2,065 properties available at the time the association published its numbers for May.
Realtors put "sold" signs out in front of 491 properties last month. That's down from 496 from last May, a 1.01 per cent dip.
So far in 2025, 1,902 properties have changed hands, compared to 2,069 a year ago, representing an 8.07% decrease.
The average price of a home in Windsor-Essex remained relatively unchanged from a year ago. It fell 2.7 per cent to $556,855 from $572,304.
