Just as one heat event ends, Environment Canada says another one is beginning.
The weather agency has issued a heat warning for Windsor-Essex through at least Friday night.
Daytime highs in the region may reach 33 C on Thursday and Friday, with evening lows ranging from 18 to 21 C.
Humidex readings could get as high as 44 C, according to Environment Canada.
While this heat event is not expected to last as long as the one earlier this week, forecasters once again suggest watching for symptoms of heat exhaustion, such as headache, nausea, dizziness, extreme thirst, dark-coloured urine, and intense fatigue.
The heat wave earlier this week resulted in a record high for Windsor on Monday, with a high of 34.1 C, surpassing the previous record of 33.9 C set in 1874.
