Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have cited a 28-year-old man for allegedly driving at more than twice the posted speed limit.
Shortly before midnight on Friday, a patrol officer was conducting radar speed enforcement on Rochester Townline in Lakeshore when a vehicle was clocked going at 155 kilometres per hour in an 80 kilometre-per-hour zone.
Once a traffic stop was initiated, the officer determined that the driver had recently consumed an alcoholic drink, so a roadside test was administered.
The 28-year-old man was charged with stunt driving.
A three-day driver's licence suspension was imposed for the alcohol-related infraction. For the stunt driving offence, an additional 30-day licence suspension was put in place, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
The charges have not been proven in court.
