An additional 20 charges have been laid on a Windsor man, these involving a pair of commercial break-and-enters.
The first was on Monday, June 30. Officers responded to a commercial break-in on Sprucewood Avenue off Ojibway Parkway. Police say a man wearing a disguise arrived in a stolen vehicle, jumped a fence, and entered the property. He stole several items before fleeing from the area in the stolen car.
The second was on Monday, July 7, on Walker Road near the 7th Concession. Police say the same suspect entered another commercial property, stole several boxes containing confidential client information, then fled in a vehicle.
The Target Base Unit took control of the investigation, and on Thursday, police arrested a 31-year-old man.
The man is charged with six counts of driving while prohibited, four counts of failure to comply with a release order, four counts of breach of probation, two counts of break-and-enter of a commercial property, two counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000, and two counts of wearing a disguise to commit an offence.
These 20 charges are in addition to the 44 charges already laid against the suspect, including vehicle theft, personation, possession of stolen property, and fraud.
The charges have not been proven in court.
