An agency that investigates reports of tornadoes says there were three over Lake Erie last week.
According to the Northern Tornadoes Project (NTP), one was spotted a few kilometres off the shore in Chatham-Kent on August 28.
People northeast of Wheatley and southwest of Port Alma had the best chance of seeing the tornado, or waterspout since it was over water.
Two other tornadoes were seen on the same day, closer to Port Stanley.
The NTP said there were no injuries or any damage from the three twisters.
