Windsor Zombie Walk to frighten on Saturday

If you like spooky, there's a Zombie Walk in downtown Windsor this Saturday.

The event starts at 4:30 p.m. at the corner of Elliott Street and Ouellette Avenue, and the "horde" leaves at 6 p.m. for the walk.

This is the 20th annual Zombie Walk and the second annual parade.

The organizers are adding floats to the parade this year in a bid to keep the mindless horde together.

"We will have a marshal to keep the parade flowing, ensuring the best presentation, which we aim to do every year and grow into a Halloween tradition in Windsor for years to come," read the event's website.

The event is free, but participants are encouraged to bring a donation for the Downtown Mission.

"Just because we have no brains, don't mean we haven't big hearts," said Captain Hindgrinder, an organizer of the event.

The Windsor Zombie Walk was the first zombie charity event ever held in Windsor in 2006.
