Instead of spending a few grand on a seat at the Rogers Centre to watch the Jays in game one of the World Series, why not come downtown?
LiUNA Local 625 has sponsored the big screen, so residents can watch the game between the Jays and Dodgers on Friday night at City Hall Square.
"It's exciting to celebrate the Toronto Blue Jays' first World Series appearance since 1993, right in the heart of our city," said Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens.
Before the game starts, the City of Windsor is hosting the final Live at the Square event at City Hall Square with fall-themed activities, a photobooth, beverages from Walkerville Brewery, and food from the G.O.A.T. Tap and Eatery and Coffyn Piez. Musical entertainment will be provided by local country act Slim Pickerel.
Live at the Square starts at 6 p.m. and the game gets underway just after 8 p.m.
Registration is required for the World Series Game One watch party, and is available online.
