A correctional officer at the South West Detention Centre has been accused of sexually assaulting an inmate.
Windsor police report the alleged assaults happened between May and November 2025 while the officer was assigned to supervise female inmates.
Christopher Rylett, 47, has been charged with sexual assault and breach of public trust.
Windsor police say they will not be releasing further details to protect the identity of the victim and preserve the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims. Anyone who believe they may have been sexually assaulted or victimized is urged to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830.
