The Town of Kingsville has issued over 80 short-term rental licences since adopting a program last year.
As part of the licensing program, applicants are required to show proof of insurance and pass a fire inspection.
The town received 121 applications since January. There have been 83 licences issued, 12 refused, four withdrawn, and 22 licences are still pending.
The program also includes a 24/7 hotline that allows residents to submit nuisance complaints related to short-term rental activity.
A full list of licensed properties can be found here.
The hotline has received 12 submissions to date. Seven were valid complaints about noise, parking, improper lighting, and unlicensed listings.
All complaints will be taken into consideration should the property owner apply to renew their licence.
After one year of the program, the town administration is recommending extending the licensing period from one year to three due to the amount of work required on both staff and the applicant to process the application.
Kingsville council will vote on that recommendation at Monday night's council meeting.
