Charges laid after crack cocaine, knife seized by police

An investigation by the Windsor Police Service led to the seizure of over $1,000 worth of illegal drugs.

The Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit arrested the suspect on Tuesday in the area of Tecumseh Road East and Central Avenue.

Police report during the arrest, officers seized 6.3 grams of crack cocaine and a double-bladed knife.

Officers also searched a home on Olive Road, where they seized a digital scale, packaging material, and $60 in cash.

A search of the suspect's car revealed 4.7 grams of crack cocaine, a digital scale, packaging material and $510 in cash.

A 39-year-old has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and failure to comply with a release order.
