City of Windsor hiring crossing guards

The City of Windsor is looking to fill 15 crossing guard positions throughout the community.

The city typically has around 75 people helping students get to and from school on a daily basis.

"It's very important, it's important for the safety of the children and everyone on the roads," said Crossing Guard Coordinator Bronwen Stenger.

The city is looking for people ready to commit to an hour of work a day- a half hour in the morning and a half hour after school to help students cross the road safely. They must be able to work in all weather conditions and have the ability to communicate clearly with children.

A competitive hourly wage is offered with training and equipment provided.

Those interested can visit the City of Windsor's website.
