Windsor police are investigating a house fire that left one person injured and one dog dead.
Just before 10 p.m. Sunday night, Police and firefighters responded to the home on Byng Road following reports of a blaze.
A man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after jumping from a second-story window to escape the fire.
According to responding officials, one dog died in the fire, firefighters rescued a cat, and two other pets remain unaccounted for.
The blaze was extinguished by fire crews, and the Windsor Police Arson Unit is actively investigating the incident.
