Two men are facing several charges after an investigation into a break and enter this week.
On Monday, officers were called to a business on Hawthorne Drive, where employees found that equipment had been stolen. Investigators determined suspects cut a hole in the fence and entered the property the night before. Construction equipment was stolen from an on-site vehicle and a welder generator was damaged when the suspects tried to remove it.
The suspects left the scene in a U-Haul van.
Two suspects were identified.
On Thursday, officers located a 40-year-old suspect who was arrested on Wyandotte Street after a brief struggle. Officers seized methylenedioxymethamphetamine, crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, and an unknown brown powdery substance during the arrest. A digital scale, a cutting agent, packaging materials, drug paraphernalia, and cash were also seized.
The suspect faces a number of charges including possession for trafficking, break and enter, mischief, and failure to comply with a release order.
A second suspect, a 64-year-old, was arrested later in the day on Rivard Avenue. He faces charges of break and enter and possession of break-in instruments.
A third suspect is still outstanding. He is described as a White man with a medium build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black winter coat, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes, and a purple-and-white balaclava.
