New generation of Windsor-built Pacifica introduced

The latest evolution in the appearance of a Windsor-built minivan has begun turning heads in the automotive community.

Stellantis unveiled its new-look 2027 Chrysler Pacifica line on Wednesday at the New York International Auto Show.

Chrysler Brand CEO Matt McAlear called the Pacifica line the latest innovation in a timeless product.

"Chrysler invented the minivan 43 years ago, and with more than 16.6-million sold, including more than 1.15-million Pacifica models, our leadership in this segment remains unmatched," said McAlear in a statement. "This refreshed Pacifica builds on that momentum by delivering the perfect blend of new refreshed exterior design, new features, and smarter technology, with the beloved innovations our customers rely on."

Exterior upgrades for the Limited, Select, and Pinnacle models include a striking new front fascia featuring vertical LED headlamps and an illuminated grille with a unique lit signature called “piano keys.” The Pacifica also features a new Chrysler wing logo and rear liftgate applique.

The interior includes technology upgrades, such as the decoupling of the Uconnect Theatre Group and the newly named Family Tech Group, which will now allow families to choose their ideal features.

Standard features that will return include Stow ‘n Go seating in both the second and third rows, the FamCAM, rear-seat entertainment, towing, and seven- or eight-passenger seating capability.

The 2027 Pacifica is available for ordering, though pricing for models sold in Canada has not been determined.
