A Lakeshore man was fined $1,000 after pleading guilty to capturing, harassing, and attempting to injure Canada geese.
The Ontario Court of Justice heard the case on February 2, 2026.
The court was told conservation officers were called by the Ontario Provincial Police after the man was seen at the Belle River Marina harassing the geese. According to witnesses, the man caught a gosling and attempted to injure adult geese by throwing large rocks and swatting at them.
