Windsor police investigating fatal crash

One person is dead after a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle.

Officers 5 were called to the scene of the crash at 5 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, at the intersection of Howard Avenue and Charles Street.

Windsor police said it's believed that the man was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a vehicle travelling northbound on Howard Avenue.

The 69-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police closed Howard Avenue in both directions between Edinborough Street and Grand Marais Road East while officers investigated. The road has since reopened.
