Windsor fraud case places woman on the Wanted list.

Windsor police are looking for a 49-year-old woman in connection with a series of fraud-related incidents.

Investigators with the Financial Crimes Unit say Heather M. Lewenza agreed to act as a surety in November 2024 for someone who was facing charges at that time.

The following February, Lewenza and the other person were seen at a storage facility on Walker Road near Seminole Street. Officers learned that while there, Lewenza allegedly used someone else's driver's licence to rent a U-Haul, and never returned it.

Police have since charged Lewenza with fraud over $5,000, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of identity for fraudulent purposes, personation with intent to gain advantage, possession of identity documents, and facilitating a breach of a release order.

Her current whereabouts are unknown.

Lewenza is described as a White female with a fair complexion and medium build, approximately 5’ 8”, 146 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on her location should call Windsor police's Financial Crimes Unit at (519) 255-6700, extension 4330. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
