Windsor man arrested while search continues for another after a Vaughn double murder

Police in the York Region have arrested one Windsor man and are looking for another after a double murder in Vaughn.

York Regional Police were called to a home in Vaughn on May 13, where they found two men with multiple gunshot wounds. The two men later died in the hospital.

While officers were on the scene, they got a call about a blue sport utility vehicle on fire. Their investigation revealed the SUV was used in the shooting after it was stolen from the Greater Toronto Area.

Police were able to confirm the identity of three men in the SUV.

While carrying out a search warrant at a home in Toronto, officers found a loaded firearm, along with a detonator, a pipe, bolts, and tannerite for an explosive.

Search warrants were also carried out in Windsor and Hamilton, where three more firearms and an extended magazine were seized.

Two men have been arrested, but the search continues for 48-year-old Gerard Murray.

Police have released a photo of Murray in the hopes someone knows where he is and will call Windsor Police.
