The Kidney Foundation has cancelled its Rock the Walk: Fashion and Live Music Celebration.
The event was scheduled for Saturday, June 13 at St. Clair College Centre for the Arts.
"We are tremendously appreciative to everyone who supported the development of Rock the Walk over the past several months, including our sponsors community partners, committee members and event participants. We sincerely apologize for any disruption that this cancellation may have caused," the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Windsor and District Chapter, said in a statement.
Organizers said the event was cancelled due to circumstances beyond their control. Anyone who purchased a ticket to the event will be offered a refund.
The organization was hoping to raise $20,000 through the event to help raise awareness of kidney disease and support those affected.
