One person is dead after a fire at a home in Amherstburg.
The Amherstburg Fire Department was called to the scene of a fire on Texas Road near Stone Street around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 3.
During a search of the residence, fire crews found and removed a 47-year-old man from the building. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation, with the Windsor police launching an arson investigation.
No estimates of property damage or additional details are available at this time.
