Windsor-Essex home sales down again in July

Fewer people are closing deals to purchase homes in Windsor-Essex, according to the local association of realtors.

According to the July sales report from the Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors (WECAR), 470 homes were sold last month, down from 538 homes sold in July 2025, for a decline of 12.6 per cent.

Sales are also down year-to-date, by 5.2 per cent in 2026, compared to the same seven months last year.

Market activity was also down in July in Windsor-Essex. There were 1,226 homes on the market, down 9.1 per cent from the 1,352 properties for sale in July 2025.

In 2026 to date, market activity is down by 3.4 per cent from the same period last year.

The average price of a home sold in the region is also falling. In July, the average was $546,739, down almost seven per cent from 2025.
