Warnings have been issued at two local beaches where water samples found high E.coli counts.
The Windsor Essex County Health Unit does not recommend swimming at Colchester or Holiday Beach this weekend.
Water samples were taken on Wednesday.
Open and safe for swimming this weekend are Cedar Beach, Cedar Island Beach, Lakeshore Lakeview Park West Beach, Point Pelee North West Beach, and Seacliff Beach.
Water quality can change from day to day depending on the weather conditions and lake levels. Although the beach might be open, swimming is not recommended if there has been recent heavy rainfall, if the water is cloudy, or if you are unable to see your feet when in the water.
