The Amherstburg Uncommon Festival kicks off on Friday with three days of unique, uncommon, fun.
Entertainment and hands-on activities take centre stage on downtown Amherstburg streets, at King's Navy Yard Park, and at the newly opened Amherstburg Waterfront Festival Plaza.
Internationally recognized street chalk artist David Zinn will create imaginative murals throughout the festival grounds, while buskers from the Bubbleology Show perform, and the Purple Theatre Company presents theatre performances.
On Friday, visitors can take a ride in a hot air balloon, courtesy of RE/MAX.
Visitors can also check out mini escape rooms, make pottery and candles, join scavenger hunts, and explore paranormal investigations and a pirate encampment.
On Saturday and Sunday, wear your freakiest costume. They'll be judged for cash prizes.
Saturday night, festivalgoers can enjoy an uncommon fireworks display over the river.
This year's festival will also feature the largest vendor and food truck market in the event's history.
