A commercial truck driver is facing charges in the U.S. after being caught allegedly trying to bring a weapon into Canada.
Few details have been released, but U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents stopped a truck bound for Canada on the Detroit side of the Ambassador Bridge on September 22.
After being sent for inspection, the vehicle was searched. A firearm, clip, and ammunition were discovered and seized.
The driver, who turned out to be a felon in possession of a firearm, was arrested.
He was turned over to the Homeland Security Investigations Unit in Detroit.
