The Wyandotte Town Centre Business Improvement Association is continuing its Thanksgiving tradition of giving away free turkeys to local families.
"We know times have been challenging for many families," said BIA Chair Larry Horwitz. "Giving away turkeys is our small way of saying thank you and celebrating the spirit of gratitude, kindness, and community that makes our neighbourhood such a special place."
The giveaway is at 3 p.m. on Thursday at Al Sabeel Restaurant on Wyandotte Street East.
The limit is one turkey per family, and residents are encouraged to bring a bag.
Last year, the association gave away 150 turkeys to families in need.
