Several Ontario Hockey League (OHL) players have been chosen to play for Team Canada at the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
The under-18 team has 11 players from the OHL, 11 from the Western Hockey League (WHL), and two from the Quebec Maritime Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).
The Windsor Spitfires will be represented by forwards Ethan Belchetz and Jean-Christoph Lemieux.
Sarnia Sting forwards Alessandro Di Iorio and Beckham Edwards were chosen.
The Kitchener Rangers were the only other team with two players named to Team Canada: goaltender Jason Schaubel and forward Adam Valentini.
The Owen Sound Attack (Pierce Mbuyi), Peterborough Petes (Colin Fitzgerald), Saginaw Spirit (Dimian Zhilkin), Kingston Frontenacs (Gavin Betts), and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (Callum Croskery) all had one player chosen.
The tournament gets underway on Monday. Canada starts the competition against Team Finland.
