A two-goal performance from Liam Greentree helped the Windsor Spitfires beat the Saginaw Spirit.
The two teams faced off in Windsor on Friday, with the Spitfires winning 4-1.
It took only 24 seconds for the Spitfires to open the scoring as AJ Spellacy found the back of the net for his 5th goal of the season. Getting the assists were Cole Davis and Conor Walton.
Greentree would get the next goal, seven minutes into the second period, extending the lead. His 13th goal was assisted by Ethan Belchetz.
Later in the period, Ethan Garden scored the Spitfires' third goal from Anthony Cristoforo and Andrew Robinson. Garden's goal was his 5th of the season.
Saginaw would score early in the third period, but that's as close as they would get.
Greentree scored his second of the game from Cristoforo into an empty net.
Joey Costanzo made 22 saves for the win.
The Spitfires' record now sits at 16-4-2-1.
The two teams finish a back-to-back on Saturday, with puck drop at 7:05 p.m.
