Detroit Tigers announce $19M two-year deal

The Detroit Tigers have re-acquired right-handed pitcher Kyle Finnegan.

On Saturday, the Major League Baseball team announced that it had agreed to a two-year deal with Finnegan worth $19 million.

The pitcher, who was born in Detroit, will be rejoining the Tigers after being acquired by the Washington Nationals at last season's trade deadline.

The deal includes a base salary of $8,750,000 during the 2026 season and $8 million for 2027.

The contract includes a mutual option of $10 million with a $2,250,000 buyout for 2028.

The pitcher may also earn bonuses, which will include $125,000 each for finishing 40, 45, 50, and 55 games.
