A Chatham-Kent (CK) Hospice volunteer has won a prestigious award for outstanding volunteerism.
Sadie Bruette has been recognized with the prestigious June Callwood Circle of Outstanding Volunteers Award, celebrating exceptional hospice volunteers across Ontario who exemplify compassion, dedication, and service.
CK Hospice said Bruette is a compassionate and humble volunteer who brings comfort and dignity to everyone she meets.
CK Hospice Executive Director Jessica Smith added that Bruette quietly helps create a sense of warmth and reassurance for all who enter their doors.
"Sadie represents the very best of hospice volunteering," said Smith. "Her kindness, empathy, and unwavering commitment create a welcoming environment where residents, families, and visitors feel seen, supported, and cared for. We are incredibly proud to see her recognized with this well-deserved honour."
According to CK Hospice, Bruette helps ease moments often filled with worry, grief, and uncertainty, truly embodies the spirit of hospice care, and makes a meaningful difference in the experience of every person she encounters.
