The Chatham Maroons' run at back-to-back Sutherland Cups is about to begin.
The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey (GOHL) released the schedule for seven of the eight first-round playoff matchups on Tuesday.
Most series will start on Friday or Saturday, however the Maroons will host the St. Thomas Stars in Game 1 on Sunday.
The Maroons come into the playoffs as the number one seed in the Western Conference, while St. Thomas narrowly beat out Waterloo for the last spot.
This will be the third time the two teams have faced off in the GOHL playoffs. The two teams battled it out in seven other playoff series under different leagues.
The Maroons have won the last eight series, though St. Thomas will feel confident heading into this matchup, having won two of the four regular-season games this season.
St. Thomas will host Game 2, with the teams taking turns hosting until one has won four games.
