Environment Canada cancelled severe thunderstorm warnings and watches issued for parts of midwestern Ontario Wednesday night.
The weather alerts had been in effect since the afternoon with the national weather agency advising it was tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing heavy rain. Around 2:15 p.m. the stormfront was located seven kilometres northeast of Pike Bay, moving east.
Heavy rainfall that could cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility, hail and damaging wind were all possible, Environment Canada said.
The alerts were ended around 9:20 p.m.
