Vehicle reported stolen found on owner's property

Charges have been laid against a Kincardine man accused of lying to police about his vehicle being stolen.

South Bruce OPP were called about a vehicle being stolen from a home on Highway 9 in the Municipality of Kincardine on November 21. As the investigation progressed, investigators returned to the owner's home and discovered the vehicle inside an outbuilding on the property.

A 29-year-old man is charged with public mischief and fraud under $5,000. He is scheduled to appear in Walkerton court in relation to the charges on January 28.
