Flood warning issued for Brockton community

The Saugeen Valley Coservation Authority issued a flood watch for Pinkerton, a community in the Municipality of Brockton, on Friday afternoon.

Authorities say the rising Teeswater River has resulted in erosion being observed along Bruce Road 15.

The road has been closed, meaning emergency services can no longer travel directly through this area.

The Municipality says emergency responders are aware of the situation and will use alternate routes to provide services when needed.

Officials remind residents that while water may freeze up with the forecasted conditions; that doesn’t mean the ice will be stable.

The flood warning will remain in effect until Monday at 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise updated.
