Kidnapping, robbery suspects arrested in central Sarnia

Sarnia police have arrested a pair of suspects wanted in connection with a kidnapping and robbery on Monday.

As part of the ongoing investigation, officers were watching a home on Parker Street in central Sarnia Thursday morning.

At around 9 a.m., police allege a man exited through the side door in a disguise, including a black wig, and took off on a nearby electric bike south on Parker Street.

Officers recognized the man as Cole Dew, despite his efforts to hide his identity.

The 30-year-old was arrested, and during a search police allegedly discovered 11.96 grams of fentanyl, 7.8 grams of cocaine, a folding knife, digital scale, and $180 in cash.

He was held for bail on the robbery and kidnapping warrants and remanded into custody.

Sarnia police said he will face additional drug-related charges at his next court appearance March 31.

Police learned the other suspect, Brennan Erdodi was also hiding inside of the home.

Officers contained the residence to prevent his escape, and negotiated with him while trying to get a warrant to enter the property.

The Emergency Response Team, K9 Unit, a team of crisis negotiators, a critical incident commander, and support staff were also on scene.

Police said Erdodi surrendered at around 3:30 p.m.

The 40-year-old was held for bail on multiple charges and was remanded into custody by the courts.
