Three Lambton County mayors are seeking another term

More familiar faces in Lambton County have announced they are seeking re-election.

Lambton Shores Mayor Doug Cook filed his nomination papers on Thursday, May 28.

Cook was elected mayor in 2022 after serving as deputy mayor in the municipality for eight years.

In Enniskillen Township, Mayor Kevin Marriott is also seeking re-election.

He was first elected as mayor in 2011 after serving seven years as deputy mayor.

Marriott was acclaimed in 2022.

Ian Veen is seeking another term as mayor of Oil Springs. 

He was first elected in 2003 and was acclaimed in the last four elections.

So far, all three incumbents are running unopposed.

The deadline to file nomination papers for the upcoming October 26 election is August 21.
