Closed for Canada Day in Sarnia-Lambton

Here’s what’s open and closed on Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

-Post Office: Closed, No Mail Delivery

-Sarnia Transit: Buses running on a special schedule from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Service is free.

Special bus service to Canada Day celebrations at Canatara Park from Northgate Terminal from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Shuttles running every 30 minutes from Northgate Terminal to Centennial Park from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. No service between 9:30 p.m. and 10:10 p.m.

-Banks & Trust Companies: Closed

-Beer and LCBO stores: Closed Tuesday, except the Confederation Street Beer Store, open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

-Wine Rack: Open

-Cannabis stores: Some open with limited hours

-Stores: Most closed, including Lambton Mall

-Strangway Centre: Closed

-Government offices (Muni. Prov. Fed.): Closed

-Garbage collection: Normal (Sarnia)

-Compost Site: Closed

-Schools: Closed for summer

-Blackburn Media Sarnia Offices: Closed
