The Town of Amherstburg is offering free transit service to shepherd people to is Uncommon Festival.
Beginning Friday, September 20 at 6 p.m. to the end of service day Sunday the Amherstburg transit line will be free for residents and visitors.
The town decided to offer the service to celebrate one year of transit service in the town.
"In just one year, our transit service has already become an essential part of our community," said Amherstburg Mayor Michael Prue. "We’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone by offering free transit during the Uncommon Festival, making it easier for everyone to come out and experience all the magic and wonder this event offers. From the amazing shows to the incredible costumes and everything in between, there’s no better way to explore Amherstburg!"
The Uncommon Festival happening in downtown Amherstburg celebrates magic, wizards, and steampunk. It features live performers, buskers, food and drink specials and speciality vendors.
Donations of new socks and non-perishable children's snacks are being collected to support those in need in the community.
