Windsor police have arrested a suspect in connection with two fires at the same address earlier this month.
Around 1 a.m. on June 12, emergency services were called to the home on Pierre Avenue for an active fire. Investigators determined the blaze was intentionally set in a second-floor sunroom.
On June 16, a fire broke out at the same home. This fire started beneath the staircase and spread to the garage. This fire was also set intentionally.
The Windsor Police Arson Unit identified a 32-year-old suspect in both fires.
The suspect turned themselves into police Wednesday morning. They are facing charges of break and enter, arson with disregard for human life, arson causing property damage, possession of incendiary material, wearing a disguise to commit an offence, and failure to comply with a probation order.
