The public can now nominate Essex residents for the Mayor Recognition Awards.
The awards celebrate the unwavering dedication, selfless contributions, and small-town pride of exceptional residents every year.
"Each year, the Mayor Recognition Awards give us the opportunity to celebrate the passion, generosity, and spirit of our community," said Mayor Sherry Bondy. "We are proud to recognize those who quietly go above and beyond, and who remind us what small-town pride truly means."
There are five categories residents can be nominated for: Outstanding Youth Award, Business Award, Mayor's Special Award, Arts and Culture Award, and the Natural Environment Award.
Nomination forms are available on the Town of Essex website, and the deadline to nominate a resident is October 19.
