The patriarch of the Gus Revenberg group of dealerships in Windsor has passed away at the age of 77.
Gus Revenberg died on Tuesday, surrounded by his wife of 39 years and their children.
Revenberg started his first car dealership on Tecumseh Road East in 1987 and grew the operation to include three dealerships in Windsor: Gus Revenberg Chevrolet Buick and GMC, Gus Revenberg Kia, and Windsor Chrysler Quality Used Vehicles.
His obituary on Arbour Memorial's website described Revenberg as a kind and humble man who "preferred to remain anonymous in all his good deeds, which were many."
"Gus loved to work every day at his dealerships. He loved to fish and spend time with his horses in the barn. Gus touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him," it said.
The visitation for Revenberg is on Friday at 11 a.m. at Victoria Greenlawn Funeral Home and Chapel at 1525 Hwy. 3 in Oldcastle. The service starts at 2 p.m.
